Ethnos360, formerly New Tribes Mission, Again Facing Allegations Surrounding Sexual Abuse of Minor

ORLANDO, FL [Press Release] (September 30, 2024) –The Haba Law Firm and BozLaw have jointly filed a lawsuit against Ethnos360, a missionary organization that was formerly known as New Tribes Mission. The lawsuit alleges that New Tribes Mission changed its name in 2017 to Ethnos360 in part to hide years of sexual abuse of children within its corporation.

The lawsuit details that the minor plaintiff and her parents were members of Ethnos360, wished to serve as missionaries to spread the word of God, and moved to the Missouri campus to serve in this role. Despite Ethnos360 having prior knowledge of extensive sexual abuse within the organization, the minor plaintiff was sexually assaulted multiple times due to Ethnos360’s failure to provide a safe environment, inadequate security, and failure to respond appropriately to allegations of abuse. Indeed, Ethnos360 attempted to lure the Plaintiffs to confide in the Director of Child Safety and the organization’s law firm who were responsible for protecting Ethnos360, not the child who was violated.

“Religious organizations should be places of sanctity, safety, and should only uphold what is moral and legal. More importantly, they should always prioritize the safety, security, and healing a minor child who was violated in such an unfathomable way.” said Lisa Haba.
